I work as a freelance editor for MDPI, a publisher of open-access scientific journals.

I have experience in preparing academic texts for submission (including my own). We can discuss whether your document needs proofreading or editing, which is often just a measure of the amount of intervention needed. I have proofread journal submissions and theses chapters from across the disciplines. If your document demands specialised knowledge of a particular field, we will discuss that before starting.

I am used to creating and checking teaching materials, both for use within the UK curriculum and for EFL students.

Proofreading or copy-editing would usually be on-screen, using Track Changes on a Word document.

Translation (Spanish to English) and editing of ESL/EFL documents I have lived and worked in Spain for many years, and I understand the difficulties of producing English texts if this is not your first language.
